Thought I'd jump in here with a few thoughts on the subject.  I won't set foot in a courthouse for less than $25.00 (my fee for a bringdown or a no-find), even if it is only 20 minutes away.  I charge considerably more than $35.00 for Current Owners and other searches but the fees are the same regardless of the county.  If I charged less, I'd have to bill separately for gas, tolls, parking, etc. for my more remote counties.  It simplifies our bookkeeping and seems to work better than nickel and diming our clients to death.

As far as volume, our discounts are based on dollar amount, not the number of searches.  You send the $$ volume, you get the discount. End of story.

Just my take on things.
