It is generally true when bidding on a large banks account for title, settlement or appraisals that they will complete a corporate credit check as well as ask for financial history, i.e. balance sheets, income statements or financial profiles before they would enter into a business venture. One thing is for sure, if the company can't afford to pay the vendor, they may be applying for business lines of credit... That hit from D&B will certainly hamper their chances of getting approved. Just hope that company doesn't need that credit to pay their abstractors or it's a catch 22!
