I completely agree, I really do think if we don't ban together, especially with the market in the turmoil it is under abstractors are going to be the ones used and abused the most. These title companies do it cause they know they can get away with it. I have seen more and more title companies going out of business, and in turn, because they were a big client of a certain abstractor, then they go under with them. The new game on the horizon is these title companies that say they are going under and then 6 months later they just happened to move onto another abstractor. Its time we band together, and put a resistance to this activity so that these title companies don't put us all out of business. I think a black-list, rating system would be truly great, because as stated if someone just has a grudge it would allow others to put down a positive rating, and make it more worth it to judge based on rating whether you want to pursue a business relationship with them.
