Hey Jarrod!

Great points.  I think the general attitude of the "world community" toward Americans has been slowly changing for the better in recent years, as witnessed by the recent election of French President Nicolas Sarkozy, a pro-American conservative who favors free-market economics.  I think it's largely because we've stood up for ourselves (and others) against the threat of terrorism and once again shown ourselves to be a force for good around the world.
