The contract clearly indicated that I was liable for payment of my half interest only. Once I paid that my contractual obligations were complete. I was not jointly and severally liable for the mortgage brokerage's payment. It is interesting that you should ask about the owner picking up the machine. He tried to threaten that, but once I had paid my half I was the
co owner with him, and he could not infringe upon my ownership interest.
