THE FLIP SIDE

I think that its just easier, and in most people's nature to complain rather to promote (unless paid to of course) especially when times are hard on them, and hard on them financially.

"Do something good/positive to someone and they tell 5 people. Do something bad/negative to someone and they tell 15 people about it. "

I have been on half a dozen blog and websites designed for notaries and abstractors, reading on what's the current and common problems, climate, comments, and I tend to read many forums where Vendor Management, TC's and SS's are either bashed genrally, or specifically called out and defamed outright for not paying, not paying on time, etc.

I do not agree with this, in any professional internet blogging.  I do agree with Vendors that they should be paid according agreed pay schedules and invoicing cycles.  And I mean mutually agreed upon. But there's a more professional and muture method in stating these outrages, and presentable as ell as not to appear tasteless and diminutive.

1) Any negative comment, generally speaking, and general at best without naming specific companies or individuals, should be made generally.

2) If another vendor agrees and wants to share information, give their own opinion, etc., they should send a private invitation or email/post to the vendor explaining so. Doing this prevents the Vendor from appearing as if they are negative and complaining, and they will not lose integrity or possible future busines from interested parties.

3) Sharing your lists privately, or responding to a post is also beneficial since it could be you that is spoken about and referred as a negative blogger.

4) This website should never appear to be short of a witch hunt.  If anything, we all should be coming together, helping both TC and Abstractor, SS and Notary to find new clients, work with each other and not work with those whom do not but by more prudent methods.

5) If Abstractors, Notaries, and even Vendor Managers want to socialize and make any comment they feel like, then maybe they should research and find a website to join that scrutinizes and gives defined background checks and allows only members of a certain "sect" to join so only abstractors are blogging, notaries, etc. I know that tyis poses a problem with freedom of speech and what not, and even to this specific Source of Title site, since it is created to serve and turn a profit with open forums, but there are better, more professional means to communicate and not to make yourself appear unprofessional and unappealing.

I have made comments regarding poor service (Title End) so that other TC's and SS's are aware of my negative experiences. But those comments were made through the individual company's rating tab, and not on the open forum. Putting that company on blast because their service was unacceptable was and is not the best way to vent or recieve advice or support.

Aesthetically I wished that all parts of this industry could work together honestly, keep their words, and thorugh tough times communicate in order to keep professional ties.  But, we all should understand that we are not in this business to save lives so the morality barrier if thwarted and bad reputations are given to many because of the few whom ruin it and make it harder for the rest of us trying to do good business.

I hope that I have not offended anyone, and especially during the current climate whern almost 65,000 Americans have lost their jobs in the recent month, I hope th best for everyone searching to expand their business and repair all ties with the current clients/vendors in order to promote what we all are here to do: Support ourselves financially, and enjoy it while it lasts.

Thank you.
