It may not be all that bleak. There seems to be a split of opinion as to whether we are in a recession or on the edge of a recession. The Federal Reserve indicated this week that future interest rate cuts are very much in the picture. CNN reported this morning that Congress has indicated to the President that it very much wants to implement plans to re spark the economy, and Bush is expected to make some positive commentary in his State of the Union speech concerning the economy.
