It depends on your definition of "wasteful spending".  I believe that Sen. McCain's definition of that phrase differs greatly from that of Sen. Obama's, as evidenced by the defense policy outlined by the latter...and yes, I do have an extreme bias in favor of the US and its technological capabilities.  (Yours, too, btw...the 'site seems to be working much better.)
