I try to do the same for my "core" group of clients, Mike.  Once we've more or less proven ourselves to each other and established a good working relationship, it's easier to be a little flexible as far as price breaks, discounts, etc.  I've purposely kept my client list small to minimize some of the headaches and heartaches, but it's getting harder and harder to find the good ones these days.
