The middle seems safer to me this election year, Scott.  The Libs are running each other down in the left lane, don't even get me started on the Republican primary season...  If those of us in the middle just stand still, we may be the only ones left standing. (Wishful thinking, I know.)

And Slade - it may take a sense of humor to vote for W, but nothing in our current transportation system works on time, so, whew, the Mussolini thing won't stick - you had me worried for a minute there.  I think Mussolini's reputation as a fascist dictator might take him out of the running of suitable comparisons to our President, as well.  That's just me, I'm sure there are those who disagree, but some thought Truman was a communist, too. Radicals on both sides muddy legitimate discourse.

But back to the sense of humor - there is NOTHING funny about pulling the lever (does anyone still have a lever?) for Hillary.  Obama, he could still elicit a chuckle or two, bless his heart.
