I have my RON authorization. I have done only 2 signings with it - both just single documents. It is not worth it for $25.00 - but I did it because it was the only way to do the transaction and it was more of an accommodation for the client than a money-maker.
Both of them failed to authenticate multiple times before they were finally able to proceed to the signing stage. They had to upload several photos of their ID before it found one that was acceptable.
I use Signix. They were of very little help when the clients failed to authenticate. Their tech support number goes to an answering service that is unable to do anything but take a message and tell you to expect an email reply. That is completely useless when you have someone trying keep a scheduled appointment and get something done for a real estate closing.
I keep seeing that this is the way of the future, but it seems like we are still a long way off from making this a "normal" procedure. I love technology... but it's not ready, yet. As I say about a lot of software... it was clearly made by programmers, NOT the people who have to use it.
