I send out quite a lot of work to vendors and never fail to pay anyone but I would never pay for work up front. As much as there is a risk of not getting paid there is also a risk of your searcher not doing the work. I personally do not think it is reasonable to demand payment before work is delivered and verified correct. I find examiners are far more likely to answer questions and correct mistakes if their payment is still on the line.
