That is why serving a delinquent client with a summons is more effective than mailing invoices 15 times. You almost always get an immediate offer of payment. The exception occurs when they are insolvent, and have no funds to pay a judgment. However, that usually happens late in the game. Do not delay on collection of delinquent accounts receivable...especially in the current market.
