Well....I am going to ask a lot of you here...for a moment try to think beyond labels and to explore beyond the question of whether someone is a Republican. The Oxford Encylopedia of the Islamic World is a publication which contains articles from both Muslim and non Muslim sources, and it attempts to promote understanding between the Muslim and non Muslim worlds. It has editors from the following universities: Rice University, Georgetown University, University of Virginia, University of Wales and the  University of Massachussetts.

If I had to pick a more authoritive source...I think I would have go with the above.
