When I was in Columbia last week I was with a lobbyist who had a direct line to Congressman Gresham Barrett's "guy" here in Oconee.  He got him on his cell phone and had me talk to him about some of our concerns regarding privacy and offshore records.  I asked him to go to Naltea's website and I talked to him about the plant in Florence (remember you asked me to tell the governor when I was in Columbia...only I got federal attention too.)  It was a very positive conversation and our representatives at the federal level have indeed taken notice.  I need to follow up with him in the next day or two and would like to direct him to some other websites...any ideas would be great.

I also mentioned it to Senator Thomas Alexander at the statehouse.  The governor wasn't available. 

I strongly encourage anyone with concerns about these issues of offshore records and identity theft from online access to contact your state and federal representatives today.  They do care and it's at the top of their radar screen right now.  We have to strike while the iron is hot!
