No. I am saying that if the party in question had filed for bankruptcy it may make little difference whether the checks bounced. If the payment the creditor received is ruled to be a preferential transfer he may be required to return the payment. Either way he is probably not going to receive payment in full. The best he can hope for as an unsecured creditor is a small distribution under the liquidation or reorganization plan.
