You buy insurance to cover your liability.  Abstractor E & O is priced according to the risks associated with that type of work.  You stay vigilant to avoid risk.  You follow good practices and stay up to date with education to do a better job and avoid risk.  Everyone's human and that is why we buy insurance as a safety net.

Each party is paid for services rendered and the payment isn't supposed to be relative to risk of liability.

Any party in a real property transaction who fails to perform and is held liable, can potentially lose lots of cash.  Again, it's not related to the price of the services rendered nor should it be.  ;)
