Judy: I was on a gov web site the other day that listed the money each of our rep's and senators made and spent for their respective office staff and assistance- it was staggering- while each one of the 535 members of congress pull in approximately $180, 000 per year- the total for their staff almost always exceeds 1 million dollars- just so they can answer the phones and be ready to assist their constituents- and of course, there are all of those fancy hearing rooms that are not your average rooms, by any means- all are maintained at our expense. The drivers that transport each of the persons and the housing that is provided and or assisted in the DC area for each of them to maintain , along with there main houses in their own districts and states. All that takes a lot of MONEY, all tax payer money- and you don't ever see them struggling to make ends meet- especially when they can take all the trips to "wherever" they take them.
