This has to be a BIG issue on every abstractors mind.  The gas prices are killing me.  If we could group our searches according to certain areas each week, it would help.  But,  companies ask for searches to be returned in 8 hours or other time limits which sometimes mean you go to the same county three times a week.  A lot of my counties are over an hour away.  I am running the roads, like most of you, constantly. 

You hate to raise prices and possibly lose business when business is slower than normal.  You hate to outprice yourself and lose business to abstractors who will do the work cheaper.  And as we all know...quality and experience is not always the first question you are asked...it is price.
