I do not believe this is a McCarthism scare - I researched Public Allies before I posted (at least I now know what a "community organizer" is - even though I lived for 40 years in NYS).
Here is a quote from their own website:

And Allies have the opportunity to fill a growing demand. A recent study indicates that nonprofit organizations will need 640,000 new leaders over the next decade."
It is a scary thing to me to keep increasing and promoting "not for profit" and "government workers". We need to decrease the hand out from government and increase entrepreneurship, since if we ALL work for the government, who is going to pay the taxes to run the government.
Perhaps I am a bit "shell shocked" having just had the anarchists here in St. Paul. Perhaps since when I entered this career, it was male dominated and I too have been called a pit bull in lipstick and high heels. Obama is just plain scary for the future of the freedoms we enjoy in the US. Just MHO.
