just because you are getting paid, doesnt mean they are perfect paying companies.  scott may have a perfectly legitimate complaint, in which case he is perfectly justified in calling them out here.  he gave each of those companies a way to clear their name-- PAY HIM!!  i had numerous problems with a few companies (american abstract and contemporary realty solutions, to name a couple) and sat back and said nothing.  i quit doing work for them.  then, a few months later these message boards lit up with people complaining about not getting paid by them.  had i come forward and said something on here six months earlier, maybe people would have been more on guard and not had the problems they did.  that is what this message board is for!!!!!  so then a few months later, i had another client that outright lied to me about payment issues.  i decided to come on here to let others know about my experience-- only to have other abstractors come on here and stick up for them!!??  what good is this board for if we are going to publicly doubt each others claims and stick up for these clients?  my claim was fully valid but none of my "fellow abstactors" cared as long as it didnt affect them.  i'm sure scott wouldnt have named those clients if he didnt have past due invoices with them-- but you dont care as long as you are getting yours!!  good for you!!  you are getting paid from them!!  hooray!!  does that makes scott's claim invalid??  are you saying he is lying??  whether you are getting paid or not isnt the point here.  the point is scott isnt!!  the point is that one of our fellow abstractors is having a hard time getting paid from numerous clients!!  since you seem to have a couple of the same clients, you should be THANKING him for the warning!!  just because it isnt you today doesnt mean it wont be you tomorrow.  did you even contact him and ask him to provide proof before you started standing up for the clients?  or did you just come on here to stick up for the clients whether he has a valid claim or not?  i guess you are so blessed that you have never had a client stiff you, huh!?  the world does not revolve around you.  just because they are paying you doesnt mean they arent stiffing others.  i certainly hope you never post on here about payment problems, because you wont find any sympathy from me.
