"We'll send more college graduates to teach and mentor our young people. We'll call on Americans to join an Energy Corps to conduct renewable energy and environmental cleanup projects in their neighborhoods. We'll enlist veterans to help other vets find jobs and support, and to be there for our military families. And we'll also grow our Foreign Service, open consulates that have been shuttered, and double the size of the Peace Corps by 2011 to renew our diplomacy. We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we've set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded."
--Senator Barack Obama (D-IL), July 2, 2008 (emphasis mine).
Do you mean to tell me that you don't find a proposal for "a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded" as the military just a little bit frightening? Is that really what you want for your country?
"...a woman who has no clue what she is getting into"? I thought you were more enlightened than that, Judy. For years, you liberals have been preaching to us knuckle-dragging Neanderthals on the virtues of female empowerment. Now you mean to tell me that Governor Palin should just stay home, barefoot and pregnant?
As for your personal attack on me...I don't have anything to prove to you. My record stands on its own. Maybe you should read through all of the posts before asking such a silly question of me as "what have you done?"
