I am not the one who started going back 30 years to make a dig - it was you who qualified Palin as a beauty queen.  Is that like Bill Mahr calling her a stewardess?  Maybe it was those "crazy hazy days of school" where Obama missed that the US has 50 states and 7 TERRITORIES not 57 states. 

It is amazing to me that the great accomplishment of Obama being the editor of the Harvard Law Review, but never seemed to get around to writing an editorial or even an op-ed piece.  Even then he couldn't make a decision.  He "meteoric" rise through the Illinois legislature was propelled by the Dailey democratic machine and the help of Bill Ayres, not through his impressive legislative material.  

As for the National Guard, albeit Army or Air, the Governor absolutely has the right to activate for any reason.  My ex husband was activated 08/02/90 by the NYS governor, the day after Saddam  invaded Kuwait and then federally activiated on 08/22/90 by Bush 41.  The reason the reserves and guard units are serving multiple terms is because of Clinton's cut back of the active military.  When 9/11 happened, my son, who was almost 10 at the time, asked why defensive fighters were "scrambled" from Cape Cod when McGuire AFB in New Jersey was so much closer to NYC.  When I told him McGuire was closed during the active duty cut backs, he said that was stupid to close a defensive base so close to NYC.  Out of the mouths of babes. 

As for Obama's "victory tour" of the EU, I didn't know the EU was voting in OUR presidential race.  I think that was the absolute example of Obama's delusions of granduer.  It is right up there with Obama's own speech line - "one day, the heavens will open up, a light will shine down upon you and you will have an epiphany - you will have to vote for Obama".  That is not "right wing rhetoric" - that came from Obama's own mouth. 

As for a change from the GOP, obviously you did not listen to McCain's acceptance speach.  I listened to Obama's double speak speach and heard absolutely nothing about change.  Like I said in my first post on this thread - the Public Allies web site gave much clarity to Obama's acceptance speach.
