To be honest, I have hired employees with and without experience. What I have discovered is that experience doesn't really make much difference in the long run. My best employees have been intelligent, motivated, and willing to do what needs to get done to keep clients happy. Some had experience, but most haven't. Experience is merely ONE factor I look at on a resume.
It appears you only consider ONE factor... and obviously it isn't experience... it's what ever the radical right-wing is promoting today. Clearly experience doesn't matter to you - there were MANY more better qualified candidates he could have chosen. To ignore that is simply irresponsible. You are willing to make Palin's brief experience into more than it really is, and you totally discount Obama's time in office. Perhaps Palin's experience is executive, and that might count for something... but BRIEF is BRIEF!
I know your "script" sounds good on the radio - but that is only because Hanity, Limbaugh, Levin, and the others can hang up on anyone who calls in with a little common sense. I don't know how many times I have heard Hanity take a call from someone who disagrees with the republicans only to have him interrupt with "name three of Obama's accomplishments?... Oh, you can't do it? Then, just name one... go ahead... come on... name one of Obama's accomplishment?" That is his answer for everything... but it really isn't an intelligent response to criticism of the republicans to point out flaws of the democrats. It's nothing more than slight of hand... smoke and mirrors... "don't look too hard at Palin's short resume - look over there at Obama's." Well, as a republican, I am insulted by that.
As for fair minded... my mind is still open. Yours appears to be made up. My bias isn't against "right-wing talking points." I just have the ability to think for myself and look past all the rhetoric to see what is really going on. Challenging the party view is not only good for our government it is our responsibility.
Best,
Robert A. Franco
