Thank you, Mike , for responding. I didn't think that you were fishing for my rates, I was just frustrated with preparing quotes that do not go anywhere. Putting a quote together usually involves partially doing the search, which is time-consuming. I have been searching title for over 40 years, and have a base of faithful customers. If you are sending out quote requests to all the searchers in one of the counties that I cover, you will probably find at least one who will quote you a cheaper rate. I am not interested in trying to get work on that basis. I am not necessarily one of the cheapest searchers, but I do have a good reputation for being thorough and getting the work done by the date I have agreed to.
