I think the problem is that the off-shoring is perfectly legal. Our legislators, as well as the largest companies in our industry, don't see any problem with our public records being packaged up and sold online for the world to use in any way they can to make a profit.
And, I do realize that there are a lot of good abstractors around... but what I meant was that this awful trend is causing good abstractors to exit the field. ONE DAY... when they are needed most, there won't be any (or at least, not many) left to do the work. I guess I could have expressed that more clearly.
