Wow, I don't file any of those things mentioned earlier as I am a lowly licensed (Title) Escrow Processor/Closer with an Associates of Applied Science specializing in Legal Assisting and paid hourly (LOL). So, my simply taxes confuse me - that is sad.
I think it stems from the days when Attorneys were paid by the word - the longer the document the more money paid. That may explain why things seem so complicated. Not to mention the lack of "proper" English we use today. Our language was beautiful and flowing until the invention of slang.
Now, I believe, most if not all attorneys are paid on an hourly rate or require a retainer before starting anything.
When I read the tax laws it does seem very confusing and on occassion I feel like I just chased my tail in a circle and still don't have a clue which way to go. I have thought about taking some tax law classes just to understand but if I was going to do that I might as well go for the whole schabang and go to law school too.
Lets play nice boys - not all of us are geniuses as many have proven. If I couldn't sit and read your blogs I wouldn't know what to do. One good thing would be that my cheeks would stop hurting from laughing so much - especially when things get heated. Please excuse any typo's as I don't seem to have spell checker on this and need permission to download it hear at work. :(
