Glad to hear that, I guess. I'm not sure what facts could support that, but if there are "unknown" circumstances that indicate that Shaun was unaware of the payment issues with other abstractors while he was soliciting new ones, that would change things.
However, based on what was posted, even his own posts, it certainly seems like something was amiss. I would have rather he posted an apology for his part in dragging another abstractor into a situation where he wasn't going to be paid. Even if he was unaware of the circumstances, he could have offered an apology and explained that he didn't know what the company was up to. I think that would have been better than "I was only following orders."
If he left that company because he was uncomfortable with the position the company put him in with the abstractors, that would say a lot about his character. When a company asked you to do something unethical, its probably time to find another job.
