So your search request only provided a legal description and no address on the original copies?

'The legal descriptions had inadvertently been recorded with the wrong mortgage - they were switched. The abstractor reported the mortgage that contained our legal description but failed to note that the address on the first page did not match '

I'm curious to know more Diane.

AND - despite the sometimes 'distain' for Title companies in SOT by some ... weird, eh?, .......positive and negative feedback from both sides is not a bad thing.  This example of yours may prove to save someone down the road - Abstractor, Title Agent, Client.
