Obama is running for President.  This is not about just his self-interest but about the interests of the country and its millions of citizens.  I am quite sure that Obama would have liked to be at his grandmother's side during her final days, but in Obama's situation that would have been a selfish thing to do.  I know what it is like to lose a parent and I respect your decision to spend time with your dying father tio the exclusion of your business interests, but your statement just lacks any kind of perspective. 

And that you did not hear him mention his grandmother today-- well, he did, with obvious emotion.  You could have found out about it if you were really interested in being fair to the man.
