I didn't realize I was "on the hook" to begin with.

The underlying problem was the need for reform of the GSEs, upon which I don't think the administration has changed its position.  I happen to agree with the President's assessment that the economy is basically sound, as do many economists such as Dr. Walter E. Williams, Dr. Thomas Sowell and a host of others.  I seem to remember telling you as much in a recent post.

If I were you, I'd stick to practicing law, because you sure don't know much about economics.
