You really don't know what you are talking about, and are seeking to shift the blame away from your "party of reform". Bush has been president for the past 8 years. There was a Republican majority in congress until approximately two years ago. Greenspan testified last week that the sub prime melt down, deregulation, risky mortgage backed securitization and current economic crisis were years in the making. If as you say Bush perceived there to be a problem three years ago he had ample opportunity to attend to it when he had the Republican majority behind him. Furthermore, CNN aired film clips of his speeches in which he later painted a rosier picture of the economy during the past two years. I believe there was a Democrat majority in Congress at that time.
Looks like it might even get better. CNN reported earlier this week that the failure of the Bush administration, the infighting within the Republican party and McSame's trying to distance himself as a "maverick' may result in a loss of as many as thirty Republican seats in the House and eight seats in the Senate. The Democrats are quite excited about possibly gaining enough seats to prevent filibustering by the Republicans
