Hey Helene,

This is just my opinion.... but, I would write a very nice, professional letter to the bar explaining the facts - but I would not send it to the bar just yet.  I would send it to the attorney with a polite letter explaining that you have to collect the balance and while you don't want to send the letter to the bar association, if he doesn't take care of the matter you will have to do it.

The bar does take all of the complaints it receives very seriously (at least they do in Ohio).  I'm sure the attorney does not want to have an ethics complaint filed over $130.
