Let me guess, Delaware County Court, yes??  Welcome to D-town baby.....they don't like outside attorneys anyway so you would have had the same attitude even if you had an attorney, probably worse and just a bit of different terms.  Never knew you could not cross state lines to sue someone....thought that was one of our american rights.

Sorry that Ohio treated you so poorly.  Sunbury is an old country town and hasn't really moved up in the world yet.  They live in their own little small mindedness and have done so for far to long.  I remember when we moved there (I was 5) and my mom couldn't believe all the warnings she got about who to talk to and who not too and various other things about our heritage etc.   It has grown so much since I got out of there (and never looked backed) but the mindset has apparently stayed the same.

I will try to find you some websites you can post on - local boards.  Yaknow, Sunbury is still a small town and people there like to gossip so really all you need to do is post your situation anywhere and everywhere to put peole on notice that he doesn't pay.  The power of gossip will take it from there.  I have never heard of him but I haven't been back there in 15 years either.
