Well I was given a judgment against the company that is "out of business." When I asked how a company that had no assets could hire an attorney I was berated by the magistrate. I was also told I had no business suing someone out of state; although this is what the law required me to do. Basically the magistrate didn't even ask the guy if he intended to pay me; he just lectured me on not having a lawyer (in small claims) and being a small businessman in over my head (I am 28). He didn't even acknowledge the fact that I was not the deadbeat! Anyway I am still going after the guy. I have considered buying a billboard in his home town with a deadbeat warning.
