Very True David ,but by the time most people get to settlement or closing- the origin of the title work that was used is a mystery that only the settlement or closing company are knowledgeable about. That in it self, precludes any ability to select a different title source unless they are willing to postpone settlement until a new, accurate , locally produced title can be obtained. That is something I specialize in being able to perform- last minute title examination when they forget to order it .
I do hope the BIG 4 get their act together and realize they are undermining the local resources for titles and some day will not be able to obtain something locally by their outsourcing activity
Thanks for your post-informative for those of us that don't fully understand the "indian connection".
And in response to another post regarding "racism against Indians" this has nothing to do with race, color of skin or anything like that- it is mostly pointed at the failed attempts by the American companies to attempt to slip off just a little more of the "money" by sending this work to an outsourced system-the Indian connections are just doing their best to work with the companies that are doing this-
Some might feel that the outsourced products are less than complete, and prtobably so, because it does take hands on experience within each local county to have a complete understanding of how to perform titles dfor that particular county- and sitting in a foreign county does NOT aloow for that kind of "experience", thus , mistakes can easily occur.
