Ohio is a judicial foreclosure state. The bar association recently held a huge CLE to train mediators for foreclosures and evictions to prepare for a wave a new cases once the moratorium expires. It was a good idea, but mediation can only do so much.
I am expecting more relief - in a more targeted manner to provide assistance to those who really need it. I'm hopeful that lenders will have programs available that will provide meaningful assistance to make foreclosure a last resort.
With the right programs, I don't think we will see plummeting home values. Although, we may see a small correction of the ridiculous home price increases we have seen recently. And, I would not expect to see much home appreciation until the market normalizes.
Just my opinion... we'll see how it plays out soon!
