Argent Title Research in Michigan has had no problems with payment; however, CAREFULLY read their order instructions.  They have a tendency to put in our fee for a doc retrieval, but then say something to the affect "We want this mortgage dated at XXX for $X.  Please search from the vesting deed forward."  I have to explain that what they're asking for is a one owner search, NOT a doc retrieval.  They are good about upgrading to the correct fee, but always best to get that clarified BEFORE you do the order.

They have all been very nice and easy to deal with even when there are bumps in the road.
