I had a client tell me recently that they do not care about accuracy, just speed and costs. This is a client I have had for years. They asked me to reduce my fees or they would go to the cheapest abstractor they could find.

I have never had a problem with this client and they always paid in full every 2 weeks. Now they tell me "There is no such thing as loyalty anymore".

I agreed to drop my travel fee for out of town work, but they still found someone cheaper and left me with no further communication.

Sad, but true.
