No misinterpretation here. I re-read your post and didn't see where you made such a distinction. I believe you said,
"I have been doing this for a very long time and I have never used a discalimer nor would I use the services of anyone who does. If you have no faith in your work why would I?..."
"...If you do a good job and carry the proper insurance then I don't see the need for a disclaimer unless you know that you are not qualified to do the work. I believe disclaimers are for those who do not belong in this business..."
Those sound like blanket statements to me. That's sort of like saying "I don't see the need for a contract unless you are an unscrupulous person. If both parties to an agreement are honest with each other then a written contract is unnecessary." My point being that a disclaimer when properly used can prevent misunderstandings between the parties.
