Hello George, That is is a great perspective , but as gas prices fall so does the incentive to make ,sell or buy a electric car. 1) Tax auto makers a lower rate on their profits derived from energy efficient cars "the more efficient the vehicle the less tax" 2) People who buy energy efficent cars should not pay sales tax 3) As long as oil prices keep going down have a yearly increase in gas taxes at the pump except if you have an energy efficent car you can get a rebate on the tax you paid at the pump 4) Tax credits for changes made to older vehicles to make them more energy efficient 5) No bail out and if there is any it should only go to divisions of the company that make's electric, hybrid or energy efficient vehicles.
I think any company that makes any profit derived from alternative energy sales should be taxed on that profit at a third of what they would have been taxed In addition when buying these products should not have sales tax and workers who make these products have less tax on their wages. In addition to tax credits . I feel we will see the energy field grow and alot of jobs created by these measures.
