Dear Clanci,

This scam has been going on for quite awhile now. I know that I have written articles about it several times. It seemed to have started in the Northeast and picked up steam as it moved across the country. 

The company has been repeatedly referred to the Better Business Bureau, but I don't know what is going to happen to them. I know countless county recorders and clerks have issued press releases and other statements to the media alerting them and their constituents of the problem, but I don't really know how many people have heard of this.

It's sad that companies prey upon people, especially considering the state of the economy. When too many Americans are worried about putting dinner on their tables and paying off their credit card bills, you have sharks like this out there skulking in the waters and looking for fresh, ill-informed prey.
