Just to clarify, I never said the war was a waste.  I was agreeing with the assessment that Bush was a terrible President.  Definately the worst in my lifetime up to this point.  He couldn't run a company so I am not sure why we thought he could run the entire Country.  I am hoping that we never have to suffer another disastrous presidency but history begs to repeat itself.  It is just a matter of time....who knows, Obama could be the next worst President.  We will have to wait and see in a few years.  In my heart, Bush has failed us too many times in many different areas.  At least with Clinton all we had to worry about was whose dress he would stain next.  I will have to do more research into his failings as I was never a political person by nature (9/11 really woke me up too).   It is something I have had to learn to pay attention to in order to make the right decision and not screw myself again....yes, I did vote for Bush the first time and I have regretted it ever since.  Many presidents could have taken care of the situation - Papa Bush being one of them.  Oh, but wait, weren't they all good buddies back then....

This war was needed and not a waste.  Our boys (and girls) have sacrified everything to bring security to a place that never knew the meaning of the word.  Security to a place where fighting never ends and won't ever end because it is ingrained since birth thru religious channels.  Social status in a place where woman are beaten or killed for no reason at all and are treated as third rate - women  have been gaining social status altho they have a long way to go. 

I just don't believe all the lies we were fed to get us there.  That is the problem I have with it.  If you help to liberate a country because people are being executed for speaking their beliefs which may go against the ruling party or the children that get stolen from their families to be turned into "soldiers" or all of the other humanitarian issues around Iraq and other countries have at it because they are the ones that need help.  It should have never been about fear - Weapons of Mass Destruction that didn't exist.  Or, another of my favs - getting the terrorist that will attack us again.  Terrorism will never end because there will always be extremests that will sacrifice their lives for the ulmighty promise of afterlife or whatever it is that drives them to declare a Religious War - which is what they claim and continue to seek other to join the cause.  

My support is SAVED for the troops that fight and then endure the aftermath of wars.  They are the true hero's.  Any comments made against war is against the politics of it all.  I just choose to not believe the lies that started it and strive to find the truth that lies beneath.
