Unfortunately, the $600.00 stimulous really didn't do much for me.  I didn't need anything and thought about saving it too.  What about these mysterious tax breaks everyone keeps talking about having already gotten?????  Boy, I must have missed something because I can barely afford to pay my taxes and with the increase in everyday living and gas I am barely squeeking by.  Lucky to have a job too.  I can't afford anymore "tax breaks" or stimulous packages or hand outs to the banks and corporattions that were too dumb to relize they were running this country into the ground.  The next public official that tells me he "couldn't see this coming" should be strung up by his toes, drawn and quartered.  I think we can all agree that Greed got us here and Greed will not save us.  Oh, but I forgot, I am only married with out children so I get the shaft everytime I turn around.  Last time I filed taxes it was better to file married - filing solely or whatever they call it because I wouldn't have to pay taxes - my husband was self employed so you know how that went.

Boy, Scott we have gone round and round on Bush and the terrorists before and you have your opinion on it.  So, who should get the blame - Reagan, Papa Bush, Clinton?  In all reality would it have made a difference who the President was at that time?  It sure would have ---- the attacks would not have happened at the level they did.  We have been attacked before - the Trade Towers no less and it will happen again unless we take the proper measurers to stop it.  Bush wanted to go to war and needed an appropriate excuse to get the populous behind him.  I just don't understand how wo many things failed that day.  From the FCC to the military to our homeland security.  Major erros all over the place but yet everyone just goes on believing what Bush had to say and the government reports that most likely covered up most of the failings.

I will forward blam to Bush for the handling of disaster relief in this country - Hurricane Katrina anyone.  He is responsible for placing many unqualified people in positions they had no business being and our country has suffered ever since.  And the ones that should have been qualified went on to prove how stupid the human race can be.

Or programs like the "no child left behind act" that don't work.  He also created the "temporary guest-worker program" which allow ILLEGAL immigrants to work in this country taking away jobs that citizens need now.  And don't give me that line about no body wants those jobs anyway because that is a bunch of whooey.

Oh, and my favorite, free wiretapping with no warrant by the govt.  Big brother is watching us at every turn.  Our civil liberties have been striped and no one seems to care because gee wiz, guess what, the govt distracted us again with the mortgage meltdown.  Why do you think they "didn't see it coming" ?  They needed it as cover for a public that was finally catching on.  You are right it is all smoke and mirrors.  Eventually the smoke clears and the mirrors crack and we are left holding the bag.

I just don't think I can afford anymore.  What happens when we can longer pay for all the greed and coruption that surrounds us?  Then what?
