Good points Robert. My point is that it doesn't have to be this complex. Returning $10,000 to businesses and individual taxpayers would do far more to immediately stimulate the economy. And I think it would work much faster. I saw one representative (Democrat I think) that suggested a moratorium on payroll taxes would accomplish the same thing and be much less complex. 

I recognize there is a pressing need for economic stimulus. I'm hopeful that Obama's plan will work but I suspect the plan will be bloated with lobbyist pork long before it ever goes into effect.
