Yes, always have the date you began your search. In most cases that date would be the date of the filing of the oldest Warranty Deed in your chain of title. Mississippi, is also a race notice state so you can see how important that start date is. Never leave it open. Also, on our search through date, or ending date, we always make it at 7:58 a.m. of whatever date. That insures that you are not held responsible for instruments which may be filed after you left the courthouse.
