In your negotiable instruments course have you run in an old English case before the King's Bench in which someone painted a check on the side of a cow, and walked the cow into a bank to have it cashed. I forget the citation. It has been a long time since I read the case, but if I recall the bank had to honor the check as it was negotiated.
