As of this morning, the Register & Recorder's office in Greene County, PA remains closed to the public. Damage to the Deed Room has been mostly structural and the carpets and several light fixtures will have to be replaced.
Most of the books and indices have been moved to the Law Library, which is serving as a makeshift research facility for the handful of abstractors being allowed access to the ACS system. No estimate on how much longer the cleanup will take, but at least with the cooperation of the staff, we're able to get some work done.
Regards,
Scott Perry
