Yeah, I guess you're right. Signing the Emancipation Proclamation, effectively abolishing human slavery for the first time in recorded human history, passing Constitutional Amendments giving blacks citizenship as well as the right to vote, ending the segregationist Jim Crow laws, supporting 26 major civil rights votes since 1933, laying the foundation for equal rights for all people, all in the face of vociferous opposition by the Democrats...sorry we couldn't get that to ya sooner.
Oh, and by the by...Dr. King was protesting the racist policies of white southern Democrats like George Wallace, J. William Fulbright and Al Gore, Sr. What's more, Chief Justice Earl Warren, who wrote the majority opinion in Brown, was an appointee of President Eisenhower...a Republican.
