No specific questions or concerns other than those raised by the post itself.

I don't know, to this moment, how going with the flow would have done anything but have got me out of their office with no search results for my client.  In this circumstance, I (and mostly my paranoid Libertarian business partners who's an armchair lawyer) prepared me for the worst and this helped me to overcome adversity.  Our client was satisfied with a complete, on-time report and our busjness continues to have success in paying it's suppliers and workers.  A good day, all things given.

I really did not challenge anyone, act obnoxiously or make a fuss.  I knew nobody there.  I went in quietly and did my research.  I was approached by the County without provocation or good cause.  I was dressed professionally and without a target on my back.  All in all, if going with the flow means something other than this, I don't know what more I can do.

Taking away time from public servants unnecessarily to do the research I'm paid to do, does not seem to be effective or right.  What exactly is the course of action your post suggests that I should have taken, as I'm really perplexed at this point.
